Privacy Policy
The short version: Just Invoices doesn’t collect any data. Your business details, your clients and your invoices stay on your iPhone, and in your own iCloud if you use it. There’s no account, no sign-in, no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and the app never sends anything to us.
What you tell Just Invoices
To make your invoices, Just Invoices uses what you enter:
- your business name, your name and your logo (an emoji, or a photo you pick)
- how you get paid: your Venmo, Cash App, PayPal or Zelle details, and a mailing address or PO Box for checks if you add one
- your tax rate and your invoice number settings
- your clients’ names, phone numbers and email addresses
- the jobs you log: what you did, how many, the price and the date
- your invoices, with their notes and discounts
Where it’s kept
Just Invoices keeps all of this on your iPhone. Its Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets read it from there, so nothing leaves your iPhone for them either.
Like any app’s data, it can be included in your iPhone’s backups, depending on your iOS settings.
iCloud
If you’re signed in to iCloud, Just Invoices keeps your data in sync across your own devices through Apple’s iCloud. It’s stored in your private iCloud database, which we can’t see or open. Apple’s iCloud terms and privacy policy cover it.
If you turn off iCloud for Just Invoices, or don’t use iCloud, everything stays on your iPhone only.
Contacts, photos and files
Just Invoices uses Apple’s pickers, so it never asks for access to your contacts or your photos.
- Contacts: when you add a client from Contacts, the app receives only the one contact you pick, never your address book.
- Photos: when you pick a photo for your logo, the app receives only that photo, never your photo library.
- Files: the app opens only the files you choose, like a backup file or a spreadsheet of clients.
Your keyboards
To offer any emoji as your logo, Just Invoices checks whether an emoji keyboard is turned on. That check happens on your iPhone, and the answer never leaves it.
What Just Invoices sends
Nothing, on its own. Apart from syncing with your own iCloud account (see iCloud above), the app makes no network connections, to us or to anyone else. We never receive your business details, your clients, your invoices or anything about how you use the app.
Invoices and reminders go out only when you send them yourself, through the share sheet, Messages or Mail, to whoever you choose.
Payments
Just Invoices doesn’t process payments, and it never sees them. It prints your own payment links, and a QR code, on your invoices. When a client pays you through Venmo, Cash App, PayPal or Zelle, that happens in their service, under its own terms and privacy policy.
Backups and spreadsheets
You can export a backup file of everything, or spreadsheets (CSV files) of your clients, invoices and work. The app makes them only when you ask, and you choose where they go, like Files, AirDrop or email.
Importing a backup replaces everything in the app with what’s in the backup.
Deleting your data
- You can delete jobs and invoices in the app. Archiving a client hides them from your lists and keeps their invoices.
- Deleting the app deletes its data from your iPhone.
- To delete the copy in iCloud, open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then iCloud, then Manage Storage. Choose the app, and delete its data.
Downloading and buying
The App Store handles downloads and any payment. We don’t receive your name, email address or payment details.
Children and teens
Just Invoices is made for anyone starting their first business, teens included. It collects no personal data from anyone, so it collects none from children or teens.
Third parties
Just Invoices contains no third-party code for analytics, advertising or crash reporting, and it shares nothing with anyone.
Support messages
If you contact us through the support form, we receive what you write and the email address you give us. We use them only to reply to you. We never add you to a mailing list, and we never share your message.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
