No account and no ads. The airports you follow and your settings stay on your device. To get weather reports, ClearSky asks aviationweather.gov, the U.S. National Weather Service's Aviation Weather Center, for those airports, and nothing about you goes with the request except, as with any connection, your IP address.
Who we are
ClearSky: Airport METAR Widget is an iPhone and iPad app published by DosSantos Systems LLC, 488 Pleasant St, Unit 1A, New Bedford, MA 02740, United States ("we", "us"). This policy covers the app.
What stays on your device
There is no account and nothing to sign in to. The airports you follow, your widgets and your settings are kept on your device. We don't run a server for ClearSky, and the app doesn't send them to us. Deleting the app deletes them.
Weather reports
To show METAR and TAF reports, ClearSky connects to aviationweather.gov, the public data service of the Aviation Weather Center, part of the U.S. National Weather Service, and asks for the reports of the airports you follow. Those requests name the airports. Like any connection, they reveal your IP address to that service, which handles it under its own policies. The app sends nothing else about you.
No ads, no tracking
ClearSky shows no ads and does not track you. It contains no third-party code for analytics, advertising or crash reporting.
Purchases
ClearSky is sold through Apple's App Store. Apple handles the payment, and we never receive your name, payment details or Apple Account information.
Children
ClearSky is rated 4+ on the App Store. It collects no personal information from anyone, children included.
Support messages
If you write to us through the app's support page, we receive what you write, the email address you give us and the topic you pick, and your device and app version if you add them. We use them only to reply to you. The message is stored without your IP address and is encrypted on our server as soon as it arrives. We never add you to a mailing list, and we never share your message.
Our company policy
Our company Privacy Policy covers every app we publish, and its Annex G describes ClearSky. The two are written to agree. If they ever seem not to, we follow whichever collects or shares less.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will post the new version here and update the date at the top.
